Abu Simbel Temples
The golden temples of Abu Simbel are a divine symbol of endurance and greatness. The colossal rock-cut structures were built during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses the great (1303–1213 BC) in 1200 B.C to stand the test of time. The great temple of Ramsess the great is dedicated to King Ramses II to hold the epic sun festival, and the second temple is to showcase his love for his wife Queen Nefertari.
